Ultra Q is a Japanese television series created by Eiji Tsuburaya (co-creator of the Godzilla and Ultraman franchises) and featuring a variety of strange and unusual stories.

In this episode directed by Kôji Kajita, a scientist encounters a rare Amazonian butterfly whose toxic scales transforms him into a two-hundred-foot tall giant.

Cast as the scientist turned giant, actor Kôzô Nomura had also appeared in such classic films as Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster (1964) and The War of the Gargantuas (1966).

The series' star Kenji Sahara also had roles in the above mentioned films as well as Rodan (1956), The Mysterians (1957) and Destroy All Monsters (1968).

The series filmed in Tokyo, Japan.

Kôzô Nomura passed in 2010 at the age of 78.
