Directed by Byron Haskin (Tarzan's Peril), this sci-fi adventure classic stars Paul Mantee (Blood on the Arrow) as a U.S. astronaut stranded on the barren waste of the planet Mars.

Cast as Friday, actor Paul Mantee later appeared in the 1966 Time Tunnel episode "Crack of Doom" and two episodes of the 1967 western series Hondo (S1.E1, S1.E2).

Exteriors were filmed on location at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley National Park, California and also Castle Dome Peak, Kofa Wildlife Refuge, Arizona.

Paul Mantee passed in 2013 at the age of 82.

Victor Lundin passed in 2013 at the age of 83.
