Actress Jayne Mansfield and her then bodybuilder husband Mickey Hargitay star in this peplum classic directed by Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia (Ursus in the Valley of the Lions).

The cast also included Italian actor Massimo Serato whose later screen credits included Mars, God of War (1962), Samson and the Slave Queen (1963) and The Lion of Thebes (1964).

Orginally shown on broadcast television in the United States under the title of Hercules vs. the Hydra.

Filming locations included Monte Gelato Falls, Treja River, Lazio, Italy.

Mickey Hargitay passed in 2006 at the age of 80.

Jayne Mansfield passed in 1967 at the age of 34.
